This year is very special for me. Our parents and grand parents told us that do your work and don't think about result . This somewhat happened for me this year. I started this year with no big ambition and big goal for this year expecting that I am doing hard work so I will be get good benefit for that .
In April I visited my native place and attended my brothers wedding with my family. I came back in April Last week back to Mumbai alone.My wife wanted to stay with her parents due to her study.
Starting week of May was too stressful because this is when we get to know about appraisal cycle and other stuffs . The result was no where with my expectation. I think so many time what mistake i did in terms of my work. I had done great work as every colleague and friends said then why no result.I talked to my seniors and managers but got no satisfactory answer . I will mention that in rating I got 4.5 out of 5. That was called beyond expectation in company. I sat back and think for my next steps and concentrated on my study(Not stated because I always do for some time) .
I started discussion with few company for gauging myself and where I am in terms of latest technologies and other stuffs. I got good response from companies where I went for interview .
I got few offer in around 1 month. but few were start-up and few were not giving work what I wanted.
I was not thinking to quit job and was in no hurry for any thinking because I liked company and people and job and companies which are giving me opportunity was some what similar to my company. And I know work culture and facility of companies(mid level).
By the way I asked my wife to stay few more time with parents and give me time so that I can settle down things.This really paid off. I got time after office and I spent most of sat and sun in study.
Suddenly the unexpected things happen . My resume was selected in Microsoft and they asked for interview. I was surprised and shocked and very very happy to know that resume is selected in Microsoft. by the way in distance dream I have not thought for the same at that time.
Then Whole interview process happened (that was through not like other companies) and and I selected in Microsoft. and Now I am working in Microsoft. I am very proud to work in Microsoft,
It was like that you have not dreamed some thing because you know that this is tough to achieve looking at your current situation.
And that is not only due to few days of study. that was also because of study and demo work and new technology which I worked and learned apart from office work. That really helped 70% and 30% is that time study.
This special is so much special for me and feeling is last part of year is very awesome .
I will thanks to my wife,kid and my friends who has supported me all the year and hope that they will support new year also.
And I will say sorry to my growing kid and whose time i cut and give to study and other things. but i am trying to give her time.
Now I am going in next year with some goal in mind. will try to achieve the same.
